Encouragement for the Dreamers, the Doers, and the In-Betweeners
We’ve all said it before:
“One day I’ll write that book.”
“One day I’ll start that business.”
“One day I’ll step into the life I can feel God pulling me toward.”
But somewhere between dishes and diapers… classes and commutes… bills and burnout
“One day” can start to feel really far away.
Friend, I know that feeling all too well.
I spent months (okay, maybe years) scribbling dreams in journals, daydreaming in the car line, pinning ideas on Pinterest, wondering if I was just pretending to chase something I’d never actually catch.
But then something shifted. I realized that God didn’t place those dreams on my heart to tease me. He put them there to lead me. Not to some fairy tale ending—but to a faith walk that would shape me more and more into the person He designed me to be.
And slowly… the “one days” turned into action steps.
Late nights. Early mornings. Messy drafts. Quiet progress.
And a whole lot of “Jesus, please carry me through this.”
And now?
I’m still not all the way there. But I’m walking it. Living it. Claiming it. Because that’s how “one day” becomes “WON day.” Not overnight. Not perfectly. But faithfully. If you’re in a “one day” season right now…
Can I whisper something to your heart?
You are not behind.
You are not disqualified.
You are not forgotten.
That dream you keep pushing aside? It still matters.
That idea you’ve shelved a hundred times? It’s still worth bringing into the light.
That little whisper that says “maybe this is the start”? It might just be the spark that changes everything.
So don’t give up.
- Take that next baby step.
- Say the prayer.
- Make the list.
- Open the laptop.
- Create the post.
- Send the email.
- Try again.
Because your WON day is coming.
And when it does? It’ll be so much sweeter because you stayed the course—even when it didn’t make sense yet. Let’s cheer each other on in the waiting and the working! Leave a comment below and tell me:
What’s one “one day” dream you’re holding onto right now?
I’d love to pray for you as you turn it into your own WON day.
