Buffalo Chicken Pasta Bake: A Cozy Mama Dinner Favorite

Let’s be honest—some nights just call for cheesy, creamy comfort in a bowl. That’s exactly what this Buffalo Chicken Pasta Bake is all about. It’s got that bold, tangy buffalo kick balanced out by rich cream cheese, melty shredded cheese, and a cozy layer of pasta goodness. My whole crew loves this one, and it’s now a regular on our weekly dinner menu.

I originally whipped this together with what I had on hand, and it quickly became a hit. It’s hearty, satisfying, and surprisingly easy to throw together—even on busy mama days. Plus, it makes great leftovers… if there are any!

Why You’ll Love It:

  • It’s creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor.
  • Just spicy enough to wake up your tastebuds (but not too hot for the kids).
  • Makes enough for seconds… and then some.
  • It’s one of those throw-it-together meals that feels fancy but is secretly super simple.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Bake Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups uncooked farfalle (bowtie) pasta
  • 1–2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasoning, soul food seasoning, and Old Bay (garlic & herb)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup ranch dressing
  • ⅓ cup buffalo sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese, divided

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Chicken:
Add chicken breasts to a pot with butter and all seasonings. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until fully done. Shred once cooled slightly.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
Boil 2 cups uncooked pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce. Mix until smooth and creamy. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese.
  4. Mix Everything Together:
Return pasta to the pot, add the sauce, and mix well. Stir in the shredded chicken.
  5. Bake:
Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese.
Bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Optional Toppings:

  • Crumbled bacon
  • Chopped green onions
  • Extra drizzle of buffalo sauce

Tip: This dish is even better the next day! Perfect for leftovers or meal prep.
